There are many copies of a later version of this map to be found around Alaska. One may be viewed in the Lobby of Arctic Circle Hot Springs Resort (closed at this time - April 2006) However these maps are of the Steese Highway running from Fairbanks to Circle. They were produced after the road was renamed for General Steese the Head of the Alaska Road Committion. The Chatinika-Circle Road map is an earlier version prepared in 1925 and supposedly updated to January 1, 1926. The map shows the end of construction for 1926 being at Mile 65 so either this is a prediction or someone failed to update the legend of the map.
The map indicates that the previously constructed Miller House - Circle road joined the new road at Mammoth Creek. Old mileposts for the Miller House-Circle road are shown with Central being at 126 mile (distance from Fairbanks ) . This coincides with 101 mile using the system employed for this map which places Chatanika at zero mile and Circle at 134 Mile.
The map indicates that construction ended at Mile 20 (Long Creek was at MP 17) in 1924, at Mile 31.5 (U.S. Creek was at MP 30) in 1925 and reached MP 65 just short of the North Fork of Twelvemile Creek in 1926. At this point the road was considered to be 75% complete.
